During
the summer when your kids are around the farm is a good time
to check for warning signs and decals.
Signs
and decals may not keep out unauthorized people, but they
may remind workers to use caution, or tell children that the
area is off-limits. To be effective, everyone must know what
the signs mean, and follow the directions given.
Signs
may warn about lack of oxygen, poison, or grain-wagon dangers.
The "Danger! Never Play Here!" decals help reinforce family
safety rules when you aren't around.
Contact
your County Iowa State University Extension office to see
where you can get safety signs and decals. Your kids may enjoy
helping you post them, and you'll feel better, too.
