It's
summer, and soon the grandkids will be showing up at Grandpa's
farm.
If you're
Grandpa, you may look forward to their visits, but in the
back of your mind you may be concerned for their safety, too.
You
can make Grandpa's farm a safer place to visit by designating
well-defined play areas. At the beginning of every visit,
discuss basic safety rules and areas that are off-limits.
Young children need to be reminded frequently about rules,
especially in new situations.
Be sure
to enjoy their visit. Their visit can be as much fun for you
as it is for them.
