The new service will allow the public to buy filed and certified business registration documents from the department’s Business Registration webpage and will help businesses obtain documents with greater ease and convenience.

The service was initially launched in a pilot version and received top honors for technological innovation given by the International Association of Commercial Administrators (IACA).  IACA presented Hawai`i with the 2008 Merit Award for Outstanding Technological Innovation for the new online service at the annual IACA conference in Salt Lake City in May.

"It's exciting to have our new online purchasing service recognized as one of the most innovative developments in the country for online business registration services," said Tung Chan, division chief of the department's Business Registration Division. "The Business Registration staff and our partner vendor, Hawai`i Information Consortium, did a great job and we are looking forward to providing this new service to the public."
