LAKE MICHIGAN AT MANISTEE (MI), HURON-MANISTEE NF -FS, MI

Description:

Reservable dates: May 18, 2007 - Oct 01, 2007.

This campground is located within the Lake Michigan Recreation Area along Lake Michigan south of Manistee, Michigan in Mason County. South of the campground is Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area. Reservable camping includes:
Group Camping 1-25 people = $40.00
Group Camping 26-50 people = $55.00
Single Family Sites in Oak Loop upto 8 family members per site at $16.00 per night.

Campers with reservations should check with the campground host at site 56 upon arrival. Campers must display their camping permit or obtain a vehicle pass for parking at the day use area or beach parking/Wilderness trailhead within the Lake Michigan Recreation Area.

Alerts and Important Information

FEES INCLUDE ALL APPLICABLE TAXES.
  • This campground has 25 reservable single family camp sites and 75 first-come, first-served sites; in addition to the 3 reservation only group sites.
  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
  • Reservable sites require 2 night minimum stay on weekends.
  • Campsites are allowed 2 vehicles each and they must remain on the paved camp spur.
Extra vehicle fee will be collected for more than 2 vehicles per site.
Please check in at Host Site 56 to obtain Car Pass.

Lake Michigan At Manistee (MI)
LOWER PENNISULA
MI

From the North, take US-31 south 10 miles from its junction with M-55 in Manistee, then right on forest trail road (FS Road 5629) for 8 miles to the site. From the South, take US-31 north 11 1\2 miles from its junction with US- at Scottville, them left onto Forest Trail Road (FS 5629) for 8 miles the site.
