BEAUMONT MAN GETS 10 YEARS FOR COCAINE DELIVERIES

(BEAUMONT, TX)   United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a 28-year-old Beaumont man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for drug crimes in the Eastern District of Texas.
 


JEROME LEE HARRIS pleaded guilty on November 6, 2007 to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and was sentenced today to 112 months in federal prison by United States District Judge Ron Clark.

           
            According to information presented in court, on three separate occasions in May 2006, Harris delivered cocaine to an individual working undercover with the Beaumont Police Department.  Harris was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 7, 2007. 

            This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Beaumont Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Craft.
