GRAND JURY RETURNS INDICTMENTS

           
            (TYLER, TX)   United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that multiple indictments have been returned charging individuals with separate criminal violations in the Eastern District of Texas. 
 
          PATRICK NEIL WOMACK, 34, was indicted on charges of mailing threatening communications. If convicted, he could receive a term of imprisonment of not more than ten years and a fine of not more than $250,000.

This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Assistant United States Attorney Denise Simpson is prosecuting the case.

          SHANE POWERS, 25, was indicted on charges of mailing threatening communications. If convicted, he could receive a term of imprisonment of not more than ten years and a fine of not more than $250,000.

          LAWRENCE REYNOLDS, 40, of Pittsburg, was indicted on charges of production, transportation, receipt and possession of child pornography.  If convicted, he could receive a term of imprisonment of between fifteen and thirty years and a fine of $250,000.

          The indictment alleges that from January 2006 through November 2006, Reynolds produced and traded child pornography images over his computer.

          This case is being investigated by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Assistant United States Attorney Alan Jackson is prosecuting the case.
         
          TRAMPAS STANLEY, 33, of Linden, Texas, was indicted on charges of disposing of mortgaged property.  If convicted, Stanley could receive a term of imprisonment of not less than five years and a fine of not to exceed $250,000.

          The indictment alleges that Mr. Stanley disposed of property that had been mortgaged and pledged as security.  The indictment alleges that on three separate occasions in 2005 and 2006, Mr. Stanley converted proceeds from the sale of timber deeds and harvested tracts of timber located in Morris, Cass and Bowie counties, to his own use when he had previously pledged the property as security on a line of credit he had established at the credit association in New Boston, Texas.

          This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jim Noble.

          It is important to note that an indictment should not be considered as evidence of guilt and that all persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
