DALLAS MAN SENTENCED FOR FEDERAL DRUG VIOLATIONS

(TYLER, TX) United States Attorney Rebecca Gregory announced today that a 30-year-old Dallas man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas. 

AVERY OSHE BUSH pleaded on February 28, 2008 to being involved in a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine and was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison today by United States District Judge Leonard E. Davis.

            According to information presented in court, since approximately June 2007, Bush and a co-defendant had been conspiring to distribute methamphetamine to others in and around the Longview area.  Bush was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 6, 2007

            This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Gregg County Sheriff's Office and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Richard L. Moore.
