The Maintenance Division at Amistad NRA has the primary mission of maintaining assets within the recreation area. This mission is accomplished by preserving recreational opportunities together with the natural and cultural resources of the recreation area for current and future generations. The maintenance mission is accomplished in a variety of ways including: cyclic maintenance, repair and rehabilitation and -when needed- the complete replacement of an asset.
In addition to asset management and maintenance, the maintenance mission also includes solid waste management, grounds maintenance and utilities operations. The division produces potable water at four locations within the recreation area and operates three wastewater collection systems. These operations directly improve public health and safety, and protect the environment every day.
