Grays Harbor Health Reserve Corps

Fall is on its way and with it comes an increase in stormy weather.  As a part of National Emergency Preparedness Month, the Grays Harbor Health Reserve Corps, a group sponsored by Grays Harbor Public Health and Social Services, is seeking local volunteers who can help address the health needs of their neighbors and community in times of emergency or disaster.

Public Health Program Highlights
At the July 2008 Board of Health meeting, Grays Harbor County Public Health and Social Services Department managers presented a summary of the Department's programs and services, including revenue sources and trends, goals and preliminary performance measures.

Public health departments across Washington State monitor "key health indicators" for the communities they serve.  These indicators are a quick way to gauge the community's health, much like the dashboard of a car is a quick way to gauge the car's status.
