Healthy Forests Initiative - Examples

How the Healthy Forests Initiative & the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003
are Making a Difference

Last year was a landmark year for positive environmental legislation and actions. Through the Healthy Forests Initiative tools and the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 authorities, land management agencies are aggressively improving the health of our forests and rangelands by reducing the risk on catastrophic wildland fire, and disease and insect infestations—They are making a difference for the better.
