I didn't even know I needed this information. Debbie Yoho's response is terrific. To add: My experience with college students is similar to Debbie's, but I've found that tapping into service-learning classes in the education, social work, sociology and psychology departments are the way to go at colleges and universities. Generally these students make and keep semester-long commitments because they are fulfilling a course requirement.
