Pre-School/Elementary Grades

The fact sheet at this grade level includes health and safety information on buckling up, physical activity and nutrition, and hand washing. The activity sheet packet includes coloring pages on nutrition and walking safety; connect-the-dots and recipes for calcium-rich treats for strong bones; and a choose-the-safe-way activity using shapes.

   

Elementary/Middle Grades

The fact sheet at this grade level includes health and safety information on healthy eating, pet care, physical activity, and family history. The activity sheet includes a maze on hand washing and a word search on staying safe.

   

Middle Grades

The fact sheet at this grade level includes health and safety information on pet care, physical activity, disabilities, and healthy eating. The activity sheet includes word scramblers on physical activities and a word search on healthy eating.

   

Junior High/High School

The fact sheet at this August 5, 2008 n buckling up; being smoke-free; safe and healthy relationships; and nutrition and physical activity. The activity sheet includes a crossword puzzle and a word search on a variety of health topics.

   

Parents, Teachers, and Youth Leaders

The fact sheets for parents, teachers, and youth leaders include health and safety information on backpacking and camping (immunizations, carbon monoxide poisoning, wildlife, Lyme disease, West Nile Virus and sun protection); healthy snacks and food safety (providing healthy snacks and preparing food and snacks safely); and protecting yourself and others (motor vehicle safety, immunizations, safe and healthy swimming, family history, diabetes, group b strep, and hepatitis).
