We all have taken a pine cone, veered off the trail, or left an apple core behind. While these actions seem harmless at the time, until we learn to reduce our impact, the quality of our outdoor experiences, vegetation, and wildlife habitat are at critical risk. Also at risk is our continued access to wildlands as the land agencies must take restrictive action to protect the resources they manage. Unless, of course, education catches up with behavior, and we all learn to leave the outdoors unchanged by our presence.

Many of the National Parks share boundaries with the Forest Service. Here are a few of the parks that share boundaries with the Rocky Mountain Region: Rocky Mountain National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Monument, Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park.

Our mission is to reinforce and highlight responsible OHV use, and to modify and mitigate irresponsible use in an effort to minimize resource damage on public land. Our goal is to create a statewide culture of responsible OHV use (like the anti-litter campaign of the early 80's) which will continue beyond the life of the project, effectively creating a stewardship ethic among all Colorado OHV recreationists.
