Tires are not considered hazardous waste and are not accepted at the hazardous waste drop off sites. Instead, take them to your nearest Transfer Station:

• King County Solid Waste Disposal Stations
  
  Transfer stations accept up to 4 tires per visit. Refer caller to KC Solid Waste at (206) 296-6542 for details and prices. For King County Solid Waste customers only.

• Tire Dealers: Most tire dealers will take their customers' old tires only when they purchase new ones:

Schuyler Manufacturing -- 6901 Woodinville Redmond Rd., Woodinville, (425) 488-2255. Truck tires only, No passenger tires. $1.50 each. Call for size requirements. Will pick up large loads and accepts large quantities.
