GOVERNOR TESTIFIES ON BEHALF OF HAWAI`I INNOVATION INITIATIVE

February 8 - This week, the Governor voiced her support for bills relating to her Hawai`i Innovation Initiatives before House and Senate committees.  "Our goal is a simple and important one," Governor Lingle said.  We want to "raise the standard of living for all people in Hawai‘i, while reducing our reliance on our natural resources including land and to do so in a way that preserves our lifestyle."  Read more of the Governor's testimony.

The Hawai`i Innovation Initiative is designed to create a firm economic foundation for Hawai`i in the new global economy and focuses on Innovation in Education, Innovation in the Economy, Innovation in the Workplace, Innovation in Linking Hawai`i to the Global Economy, and Innovation in State Government.
