CELEBRATING THE 31ST ANNIVERSARY OF UH WEST O`AHU

April 10 - Governor Lingle joined students, faculty and staff at the 31st anniversary celebration of the University of Hawai`i (UH) West O`ahu.  The Governor encouraged current students to support the professors and future students of UH West O`ahu's new campus in Kapolei after graduating.  She said, "with emotional commitment from alumni, the new campus will be a huge success."

The Lingle-Aiona Administration is proposing $100 million in special funds and $35 million in general obligation bond funds for infrastructure improvements and development of the UH West O`ahu campus.  "My Administration... will remain committed to the Kapolei campus because it is for the future of the State of Hawai`i," Governor Lingle said.
