GOVERNOR JOINS COMMUNITY AT "I LOVE LILIHA" FESTIVAL

August 25 - Governor Lingle joined residents and business owners from the Liliha community at the 4th Annual I Love Liliha Festival.

"The festival offers a chance for everyone to come together and see old friends while making new ones," Governor Lingle said. 

The Governor also assisted in presenting the "Spirit of Liliha" awards to long-time resident Lloyd Wong, librarian Sylvia Mitchell and the family of the late Gilbert K.H. Wong. The award honors those in the community who give back and are good role models.

The event featured fresh local produce, plant and flower sales, handmade arts and crafts from local artisans, live entertainment, keiki activities, community and health information and “A Taste of Liliha” featuring food sampling from Liliha neighborhood restaurants.
