GOVERNOR PROMOTES HEALTHCARE FOR VETERANS, RETURNING SOLDIERS AT MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE

May 28 - Memorial Day is about honoring the sacrifices of Americans who gave so we might live in liberty," Governor Lingle said during her address at the annual Governor's Memorial Day ceremony.  "But while we pay tribute to those who gave their lives," she added, "we must recommit ourselves to ensure that the living are treated with honor and dignity."

The Governor called on the military to make certain that our nation provides injured veterans and returning soldiers with the best healthcare possible and said, "No soldier, marine, airman, sailor, coast guardsman or national guardsman should risk their life for their country and come back to anything less than promised."
