The Mt. Washburn fire lookout has the ability to scan the horizon in all directions from his quarters which is quite literally a "glass house". While many visitors climb to the top of Mt. Washburn to see the view, very few are invited into the fire lookout's quarters. This panorama is intended to allow everyone to get a feel for the living space assigned to a fire lookout in Yellowstone.
