Center for Catastrophic

The National Center for Catastrophic Sport Injury Research collects and disseminates death and permanent disability sports injury data that involve brain and/or spinal cord injuries. The research is funded by a grant from the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the American Football Coaches Association, and the National Federation of State High School Associations. This research has been conducted at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 1965. Three annual reports are compiled each
spring: (1) Annual Survey of
Football Injury Research, 1931-2007; (2) Annual Survey of Catastrophic Football
Injuries 1977-2007; (3) National Center for
Catastrophic Sports Injury Research - Twenty-fourth Annual Report: Fall
of 1982 - Spring of 2007. Reports are
updated each year. Data and information from the reports may requested
through this web site. |
