comments on options to improve the Supplier Credit Guarantee Program (SCGP).
The program, administered by USDA’s Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC),
promotes commercial exports of U.S. agricultural products by helping U.S.

Singapore Reopens Market to U.S. Beef
Singapore's decision to lift its ban follows
recent developments in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea to resume trade in
various beef or beef products. In 2003, the United States exported $5.9
million of beef and beef products to Singapore, with boneless beef exports

Database of Processed Food Export Groupings Now Available on FAS Web Site
FAS Web site users can now search
processed food export data by country, year (1989–2005), and processed food
groupings, while choosing several options for data output.
Aggregations are available of particular 10-digit codes
representing processed food products in Schedule B of the U.S. Harmonized
Trade System, under which all U.S. trade data are originally collected by
the Census Bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

U.S. officials announce
an import protocol
between the two countries, an important step in re-opening Korea's market to
U.S. beef. In 2003, before Korea's
ban on U.S. beef took effect, the United States exported $815 million worth
of beef and beef products to Korea, of which $449 million was boneless beef.
