Tropical Storm Isidore

With sustained winds of 65 miles per hour and heavy rains, the remnant of Hurricane Isidore was already battering the coast of Louisiana on the evening of September 25, hours before the eye of the storm was expected to make landfall. As much as 20 inches of rain is expected in some areas.

Hurricane Isidore, the second Atlantic hurricane of the 2002 season, battered parts of Cuba with 100 mph winds, 8-12 foot storm surge, and tremendous rainfall. This visualization depicts the overall rain structure of the storm. Yellow represents areas where at least 0.5 inches of rain fell per hour. Green shows at least 1.0 inch of rain, and red depicts more than 2.0 inches of rain per hour.
