July 6, 2007 - Lingle-Aiona Administration Seeks Public Input on Potential Vetoes

Click here to listen to this address.

"Governor Lingle recently released a list of 33 bills which she is considering for veto. She has until July 10th to sign, veto or allow these measures to become law without her signature.

These 33 bills are being considered for veto because they may be unconstitutional, technically flawed, will have a negative impact on the budget or establish questionable public policy.

Our Administration values your voice and asks for comments and additional information from the public on whether these bills should be vetoed or allowed to become law.

I urge you to contact our offices before July 10th to share your concerns about any of these bills. You can view the list of potential vetoes and other legislative actions atwww.hawaii.gov/gov."
