Most of the significant damage and injuries occurred in Bowden, Georgia.

90 homes were damaged or destroyed, many in the Shady Grove community. Three deaths occurred in two homes and one preacher was killed during services.

Four adjacent homes were destroyed in Calera which injured 11. One man was injured in a barn in the Kingdom community.
