Child Care Health Program
The Child Care Health Program offers health promotion and disease prevention services to child care facilities throughout Seattle and King County including onsite consultation about health policies, immunizations, communicable disease control, nutrition, child development and child behavioral issues.

Children with Special Health Care Needs
CSHCN provides linkage and coordination of services to all children with special needs, limited direct medical services, equipment and supplies to those families that meet financial and other program eligibility requirements.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Training Manual for Trainers:
For professional and paraprofessional trainers who want to expand their knowledge of the possible effects of alcohol on the fetus. Trainers who use this manual will be able to develop presentations for various types of audiences (i.e. parents, teachers, social service professionals, medical and treatment providers, as well as community groups.) The 2-part manual contains modules that discuss 7 major topics related to the effects of alcohol on the fetus. Each module includes training content ideas and suggested training materials and other resources related to the theme of the module.

Digital Library
The Public Health Digital Library provides access to public health workers, community organizations, health consumers and researchers that provides quality and evidence-based public health information, guidelines and best practices resources.

Family Planning health education resources
Resources include sexuality education and training, professionally printed and free downloads of the Family, Life and Sexual Health (FLASH) curricula for schools and tips on handling difficult questions when teaching sexuality education in schools.

Fireflies Newsletter
Developed by Northwest Fireflies and Public Health's Emergency Medical Services, these are excellent and fun training tools to download and print to teach children basic safety skills to help prevent injuries.

Food Worker Permit
In Seattle and King County, there are nearly 10,000 "permitted" permanent food establishments, including restaurants, food and espresso carts, coffee shops, delis and the fresh food sections of grocery stores. Each of these establishments has owners, managers and employees who have passed a test on handling food safely and received a food worker card.

HIV/AIDS resources for educators
The HIV/AIDS Program coordinates and collaborates with health care organizations, universities, community-based groups and other Health Department programs to provide essential prevention, research and care services.

Reviewed Educational Materials (external link)
Partnering with the H.E.R.E in Washington website, Public Health - Seattle & King County co-created a searchable database to allow you to locate free and low cost printed materials from a variety of agencies and nonprofit organizations. Each entry has been reviewed by a team of public health professionals. Review comments are included, along with supplier information and a downloadable PDF file, if available.
