  • Media Smart Youth: Eat, Think, and Be Active!
    Media Smart Youth is an interactive website designed to help teach young people, age 11 to 13, “about the complex media world around them, and how it can affect their health--especially in the areas of nutrition and physical activity.”

  • National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion: Healthy Youth
    In addition to providing information on school health and youth oriented health topics, CDC’s interactive website allows visitors to compare data from the 1991-2005 Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Data is available by location, across seven health topics, and allows comparison between two locations.

  • Safe Schools Coalition
    A public-private partnership in support of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth seeking to reduce bias-based bullying and violence in schools and to help schools better meet the needs of sexual minority youth and children with sexual minority parents/guardians locally, nationally and internationally.

  • The State of Washington’s Children

  • VERB Youth Media Campaign
    This national, multicultural, social marketing campaign, coordinated by the CDC, encourages young people ages 9-13 years to be physically active every day.

  • MedlinePlus: Consumer Health Information
    The National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health preeminent consumer health website includes over 700 topics on conditions, diseases and wellness, a drugs and supplements database, medical encyclopedia, and other useful resources.

  • Puget Sound Health Alliance: Health in Plain Terms
    Resources to help consumers get the health information they need and to help doctors and other providers talk about health in terms that make sense to their patients.
