Final Environmental Assessment For Proposed
Removal of Schweitzer Dam, Washington County, Wisconsin


The final Environmental Assessment (EA) for future management of Schweitzer Dam on Cedar Creek in Washington County, Wisconsin was approved on August 13, 2002.  The proposed alternative was selected which provides for removal of the dam structure and restoring the stream and its natural floodplain corridor.

Provided below is a copy of the final EA and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).   Printed copies may also be obtained at the DNR Southeast Region Headquarters, 2300 N.
