Bioterrorism training manual and presentations

Bioterrorism training manual and PowerPoint presentation for primary care physicians and health care providers:

This educational manual and presentation have been produced by the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice and Public Health - Seattle & King County. It is intended to provide a fairly comprehensive basic educational and training resource Health Advisories & Resources. Modules can be mixed and matched to create customized presentations for educational use.

Topics covered include:

  • the history of biological terrorism,
  • the role of the clinician in response to biological terrorism,
  • modules on the individual Class A agents (smallpox, anthrax, plague, tularemia, botulism, and viral hemorrhagic fevers)

This course was prepared for the purpose of educating primary care clinicians in relevant aspects of bioterrorism preparedness and response.

Curriculum for primary care clinicians

This curriculum is divided into four major sections: Introduction to Bioterrorism, Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response, Diseases of Bioterrorist Potential, and Psychological Aftermath of Crisis. These materials are currently being pilot tested, and may be modified from their present state. Please watch this site for revisions. View training materials.
