WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. Agency for International Development announced the award of an initial $2 million mission personnel support contract to the International Resources Group (IRG) of Washington, DC on March 30th. The purpose of the contract is to provide experienced personnel for the implementation of development assistance to the Iraq reconstruction effort. IRG will play key roles in assisting USAID to manage reconstruction and rehabilitation activities in Iraq.
USAID's program in Iraq is part of the U.S. government's reconstruction assistance to the Iraqi people, aimed at helping maintain stability, ensuring the delivery of essential services, and facilitate economic recovery.
