This web site provides information regarding
the next edition of the Manual of Surveying Instructions (Manual).
In 2007 it is anticipated a draft of the next edition of the
Manual will be complete. The draft will be subject to Agency,
Departmental, and Governmental technical and legal reviews.
The Manual is important to landowners, and land managers,
and is critical to the surveying and land tenure communities.
We will proceed in a deliberate and expedited manner and do
intend to consider concerns of affected parties prior to the
next edition of the Manual becoming final. In the future this
web site will have updates on the next edition process. In
