Dear Lauren,

I apologise if my remarks offended you. I mentioned
very specific examples about Southern racism, not the
South as a whole. But I have dealt with a lot of
racism in America, studied it, read about the specific
examples I gave in my quote, so perhaps you will take
the trouble to ask me (and anyone else)before
labelling me (or anyone else), narrow-minded.

Being proud of being Southern and not racist is
excellent, but shouldn't it be just being proud to be
human and not racist?

Regards,
Ujwala
