Our External Affairs Office is staffed with professionals responsible for conducting public affairs, congressional and legislative affairs and Native American affairs. Public affairs specialists create and produce quality communication products about Service activities via print, broadcast and web-based media. They advise and assist the regional director and field offices with outreach strategies, media relations, web page development and other issues. Our legislative affairs specialist coordinates intergovernmental, legislative and congressional affairs with all congressional offices and Service programs in the region. Our Native American Liaison helps coordinate Service policies and activities with Native American tribes in the Region's eight states.
