All Oracle Application Server (OAS 10g) Production environments will be unavailable Saturday, July 12, 2008 between 06:00 EDT and 14:00 EDT to perform software maintenance. The outage includes all OAS Production instances, including the shared Production servers (iasint/oasint and iaspub/oaspub), the EPA Portal Production server (portal.epa.gov), and the Production OID/SSO instances.

Please note that this outage does NOT affect any Oracle application databases, and will not result in outages to ColdFusion, Jrun, or applications on other platforms, except those applications which use Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and/or Oracle Single Sign-on (SSO) for authentication purposes.

Customers will be unable to access the EPA's Oracle Collaboration Suite midtier servers, on Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 20:00 EST until 20:30 EST. Customers will be unable to access the EPA's ECMS application and EPAINTRA on Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 20:00 EST until 22:00 EST. Customers will be unable to have shell access to EPAINTRA and to access the ECMS application on Sunday, January 14, 2007 from 20:00 to
21:00 EST. Although maintenance is also occurring on the intranet.epa.gov servers, no loss of access should occur due to load
balancing. These outages are necessary in order to perform software upgrades.

NCC Webforms Server Maintenance 1/14/2007

Oracle Application Server (OAS 10g) Production Outage 1/13/2007


The Oracle Application Server (OAS 10g) Production servers will be unavailable this Saturday, January 13, 2007 between 06:00 and 12:00 noon while quarterly software patches are installed. This includes the Public Access environment (oaspub/iaspub), Intranet environment (oasint/iasint), and EPA Portal (portal.epa.gov) servers.

Please note that this outage does NOT affect any Oracle application databases, and will not result in outages to ColdFusion, Jrun, or applications on other platforms. Any outage notices involving Oracle application databases will be posted separately.

The Oracle Production databases server will be unavailable
between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Saturday (1/06/07), while the
OctCPU2006 is applied to the Oracle RDBMS version 9i software.

The Production databases affected by this outage are:

NCC Power Outage 12/30/2006

There will be a power outage at the EPA National Computer Center (NCC) in Research Triangle Park, NC on Saturday, December 30, 2006 from 06:00 until 22:00. This outage is necessary in order to perform preventive maintenance on the electrical system. This will affect all hardware at the NCC, including servers, mainframe, printers, and telecommunications. All services should be restored by 22:00.

Production Intranet Oracle Application Server (OAS 10g) Upgrade 11/18/2006

Oracle Application Server (OAS 10g) Release 1 (9.0.4.1) in the production Intranet environment (http(s)://oasint.rtpnc.epa.gov and http(s)://iasint.rtpnc.epa.gov) will be upgraded to OAS 10g Release 2 (10.1.2.0.2) this Saturday, November 18, 2006, between 0600 and 1200 noon. During this time, there will be an outage while the OAS 10g environment is upgraded. The outage is not expected to last for more than an hour. After the upgrade, OAS 10g Release 1 will no longer be available, and all applications currently running on oasint/iasint will be running under OAS 10g Release 2.

On Saturday, March 4th we plan to upgrade the email servers to Lotus Notes version 6.5.5. The upgrade process will start at 8:00am and will be completed by 12:00 noon. This upgrade is mandatory and addresses a security issue associated with Lotus Notes servers. The server upgrade will not affect your Notes desktop functionality. We must reboot the servers during the upgrade process. All Oracle Application Server (OAS) 10g applications in the Staging environment will be unavailable between 06:00 and 09:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2006 in order to install the latest Oracle security patch.
