Deputy Under Secretary (DUS) Charlotte M. Ponticelli welcomed a delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MOLISA) to the Bureau of International Labor Affairs on August 6, 2008. The USDOL and MOLISA agreed to extend a 2006 Letter of Understanding for four more years, continue the annual U.S.-Vietnam Labor Dialogue, and undertake additional cooperative activities. DUS Ponticelli and MOLISA Director-General Tran Phi Tuoc also discussed preparations for the next session of the Labor Dialogue, which is scheduled to take place in October 2008.
