Constella Futures Returning to "Futures Group" Brand
Constella Futures, formerly the International Health Development unit of SRA International, announced today that it is returning to the Futures Group International name now that the company is independently owned and operated. (SRA announced the sale of Constella Futures on Sept. 1 to a group of private investors led by former Constella Group Chairman and CEO Don Holzworth.) All other operational aspects of the company, including the leadership team and the technical staff will remain the same.
Headquartered in Washington, DC, Futures Group International (or Constella Futures as it has been known since 2006) helps developing nations around the world create and implement health policy and programs through contracts with government agencies, foundations, corporations and multilateral organizations. Best known for its expertise in such areas as family planning and reproductive health, HIV, infectious diseases and maternal and child health, the company has worked on projects in more than 100 countries since its inception in 1971.
"I am honored to once again lead 'Futures' - an organization which makes such a positive difference in the health and well being of people around the world," said Chris LeGrand, who is now Futures' CEO and previously led the organization in 2006 and 2007 when it was a business unit within Constella Group. . (SRA acquired Constella Group in August 2007). "And I know our staff is excited to return to the name on which the company was originally founded."
Constella Futures is returning to the Futures Group brand effective immediately. All of the companys existing contracts remain intact.
