A-B-C-D: Easy Ways to Cut Cravings
Act
Do something to keep your thoughts from cravings.
Breathe
Take deep breaths. Inhale and then exhale - slowly.
Consume
Consume something healthy to replace tobacco.
Chew sugarless gum.
Drink plenty of water throughout each day. Bring healthy treats with you to snack on throughout the day -- veggie sticks, fruit slices, or sugar-free candy.
Defer
Defer or delay reaching out for cigarettes or chew.
Call your buddy; journal your thoughts and feelings.
