Entrance Fees:

Private, non-commercial vehicle:  $7

Individual (hiker, bicyclist, motorcyclist): $4

Good for seven consecutive days. Fees apply to those 16 years old and above.

Colorado National Monument Annual Park Pass: The $20 annual pass, good for one year from purchase, covers entrance fees for any two passholders and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Colorado National Monument. This pass does not cover camping fees and is non-transferable and non-refundable. This pass can be purchased at either entrance to Colorado National Monument or at the Visitor Center. 1) America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass– Annual Pass - Cost $80 This pass is available to the general public and provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a year, beginning from the date of sale. The pass admits the pass holder/s and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas. (children under 16 are admitted free) The pass can be obtained 3 ways:  in person at Colorado National Monument, by calling 1-888-ASK USGS, Ext. 1, or via the Internet at http://store.usgs.gov/pass.

2) America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass– Senior Pass. - Cost $10  This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can only be obtained in person at the park. The Senior Pass provides a 50 percent discount on some Expanded Amenity Fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launch, and specialized interpretive services. In some cases where Expanded Amenity Fees are charged, only the pass holder will be given the 50 percent price reduction. The pass is non-transferable and generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessionaires.

3) America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass– Access Pass - Free  This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. Documentation is required to obtain the pass. Acceptable documentation includes: statement by a licensed physician; document issued by Federal agency such as the Veteran’s Administration, Social Security Disability Income or Supplemental Security Income; or document issued by a State agency such as a vocational rehabilitation agency.The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can only be obtained in person at the park. 4) America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass– Volunteer Pass - Free. This pass is for volunteers acquiring 500 service hours on a cumulative basis. It provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a year, beginning from the date of award. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). All National Parks Passes, Golden Eagle, Golden Eagle Hologram, Golden Access and Golden Age Passports will continue to be honored according to the provisions of the pass. Only paper Golden Age and Access Passports may be exchanged free of charge for new plastic passes.

Commercial Tour Fees

Commercial tours are subject to a separate fee schedule based on the seating capacity of the vehicle.

Motor coach - 26 or more passengers: $100

Minibus - 16-25 passengers: $40

Van - 7-25 passengers: $40

Sedan - 1-6 passengers $25 + $4 per person to a maximum of $40.

Academic Fee Waiver

Fee waiver requests for Colorado National Monument are processed by the Fee Waiver Coordinator. To qualify for a fee waiver, the purpose of the visit must be educational rather than recreational in nature and must related directly to the resources of the area. Please submit requests 14 days prior to your scheduled visit.

Requests for fee waivers must be made by a recognized educational institution on school letterhead. The letter must include information regarding the specific educational purpose of the trip (i.e. the hours credit received, class curriculum, etc.), the date of the anticipated visit, and the number of students and teachers in the group.

Please note that camping fees are not waived for educational groups.

Camping

Camping at Saddlehorn campground is first-come, first served.  Backcountry camping is also available.  More ~

 

Weddings, Memorial Services, Family Reunions, and other Site-Specific Celebrations  Processing fees are now required. More

Climbing permits - You do not need a climbing permit to climb in the monument.  Contact the visitor center to find out about any closures or other information on climbing regulations.
