All conference meetings will be at the hotel, which is located in the heart of downtown Seattle.

Thursday, July 28 - Conference Day 1

  • Sessions will run from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the hotel; Poster session over lunch

  • Evening Dinner and Event – We will depart the hotel by bus for the Seattle waterfront and board a tour boat headed to Tillicum Village. After a 45 minute boat ride we will arrive at Blake Island State Park for an authentic Northwest Coast Indian style fresh salmon buffet. Following dinner enjoy "Dance On The Wind," a spellbinding stage presentation highlighting some of the traditional dances, myths and legends of the Northwest Coast in a magical and unforgettable setting. There will be a $30 charge per registered conference attendee ($80 value including bus transportation). Guests are welcome, but must pay full amount. Please check box on registration form to indicate attendance. Payment should be included with your registration fee.

  • Return to hotel at ~ 11:00 p.m.

Friday, July 29 - Conference Day 2

  • Sessions will run from 8:00a.m.-5:30p.m. at the hotel

  • Evening free to see more of the city; enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel

Saturday, July 30 - Conference Day 3

  • "Meet the Mycobacterial Experts" Breakfast
    7:30a.m.-9:00a.m. at the hotel.
    Opportunity for product oriented investigators to meet with TB and leprosy experts, in an informal setting, to ask questions and discuss issues specific to these unique pathogens (sign up on registration form).

  • Sessions will run from 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. at the hotel.

    POSTER PRESENTER INFORMATION

    As you prepare your poster:

      • Your poster space will be 44” high x 90” wide (110cm x 225cm).

      • Posters will be attached to the board with push pins.

      • Pins will be supplied. 

    Poster Time and Location: There will be two poster sessions during the meeting.

ORAL PRESENTATION INFORMATION

Format Options

PowerPoint presentations can be supplied on either a USB storage device or CD.The presentation computers will be equipped with Office XP Professional, which is compatible with earlier versions of PowerPoint.

Presentation Submission Times

    Advanced Submission:

    • Presenters are encouraged to email their presentation file in advance to: Karen Kinch at: kkinch@idri.org

    • Submissions are due Tuesday, July 26 by Close of Business (5:00pm PDT) to allow compilation and preparation for the meeting.

    • When submitting your file, please identify the date and time of your talk.

    • Please bring a backup copy of your presentation (USB or CD) with you to the meeting.

    Upon Arrival:

    All presenters should check their meeting packets for details on submitting PowerPoint presentations (if not mailed in ahead of time). You should also take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with the presentation formats and to check your presentation.

    The AV technician will be available with a computer in the foyer outside the Metropolitan Ballroom during the following hours, to assist you in previewing your presentation. There will not be time for full rehearsals, so please do this in advance.

    Thursday and Friday:

    7:00am until 4:00pm

    Saturday:

    7:00am until noon

    When you are presenting:

    • A laser pointer will be available.

    • Please abide by the allotted time for your presentation.

    Airport Transportation:

    The Downtown Airporter by Gray Line is the least expensive transportation between Seattle-Tacoma (SeaTac) International Airport and the Seattle Sheraton. Prices are $10.25 one way or $17 round trip. Departs twice an hour from 5:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m., with service to and from major downtown Seattle hotels including the Sheraton. Desk is located on the Lower (Baggage Claim) Level at the south end of the main terminal in the atrium. Follow the signs to Scheduled Airporter Services, Door 00 just past baggage carousel 1. Return shuttles will leave directly from the hotel. It is approximately a 45 minute ride.

    There are also taxis and other shuttle services available – follow signs for Ground Transportation. Approximate costs - Taxi cab - $35 one way; Town cars - $30 one way; Shuttle Vans - $27 one way.

    Driving Directions to the Seattle Sheraton Hotel & Towers*:

    From Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (or South): Take Interstate 5 North and exit at Seneca Street (use the left lane off the exit ramp). Turn right onto Sixth Avenue. The hotel will be located 3 blocks down, on the right. From East: Take Interstate 90 to I-5 North and use the Madison Street Exit. Turn left onto Madison Street, and then turn right onto 6th Avenue. Proceed for 4 blocks to the hotel. From North: Take I-5 South and use the Union Street Exit. Proceed for 1 block. The hotel will be located on the right.

    *Parking at the Sheraton is an additional charge of $24.00 per night. For those who are not staying at the hotel, parking is available in other nearby lots at $10-$25 per day.
