As a former teacher, Lyndon Johnson understood the importance of education and its ability to transform people's lives. His presidential years saw an unprecedented wave of over 60 education bills.
The park that bears his name continues this education legacy.
Local educators have a variety of opportunities to bring lessons from LBJ National Historical Park to their students. If you want an educational, informational, and hands-on approach to learning about culture, heritage, and our natural surroundings, LBJ’s education program is for you.

Did You Know?
Lyndon Johnson's birthplace was reconstructed in 1964 at his request. It looks nicer than the original house and was used as a guest house on the LBJ Ranch. Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park
