2008 Regional Asset Management Conferences

Goal/Objective: To provide a forum for practitioners, researchers, and others to share asset management experiences, and provide opportunities to learn about new tools and techniques. These regional conferences are designed to bring the ideas and experiences of Transportation Asset Management to a location near you.

Organized and supported by FHWA.

A map of the United States showing the States targeted for each regional conference. The meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico will cover Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The meeting in Boston Massachusetts will cover Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Virginia. The meeting in Rapid City, South Dakota will cover Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa. The meeting in Henderson, Nevada will cover Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii. The meeting in Memphis, Tennessee will cover Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Topics Covered by the Conference:

  • Show/Discuss Available Tools (Pavement and Bridge Management Systems, HERS-ST, LCCA, etc.)
  • Transportation System Preservation
  • Data Collection and Data Integration
  • Best Practices

The conference should answer questions like:

  • What are the Transportation Agencies in this Region doing in Asset Management?
  • How can FHWA improve on its delivery of the Asset Management Program?
