 2007 Schedule B and HTS Numbers Have Not Been Implemented in AES

 The 2007 Schedule B and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) tables were 
               scheduled to be updated in the AES with an effective date of 
               February 3, 2007.  During the implementation we encountered system 
               problems.

 Currently, the 2007 Schedule B and HTS numbers have not been 
               implemented in the AES and only the 2006 numbers are being accepted. 
               The reporting of a 2007 number will result in a fatal error.

 We anticipate the implementation of the 2007 numbers by 
               February 12, 2007.  There will be another broadcast announcing the 
               2007 Schedule B and HTS numbers once updated in the AES.  Please do 
               not report any 2007 number prior to this announcement.

 The AESDirect program remains consistent with the AES mainframe and 
               only 2006 Schedule B and HTS numbers are available for reporting. 
   
               If your company has already incorporated the 2007 numbers into your 
               system and can not revert back to the 2006 numbers, please consider 
               visiting www.aesdirect.gov to serve as a backup.
