Alpena National Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office (NFWCO) staff specialize in a variety of fields including the following:

  • Biology of Great Lakes native species

  • Fishery ecology, management, and population dynamics

  • Aquatic invasive species issues

  • Habitat and ecosystem health on private and public lands

  • Simulation modeling, GIS, and statistical and technical applications

  • 1836 tribal treaty fishery issues

The Alpena NFWCO welcomes comments or questions about fish and wildlife resources and U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service programs.
