I'll just wade right in to the pro-and-con-of-james-philips debate.

Yes, he submits a lot of stuff.  More than anybody else these days.  And,
yes, I find that three-quarters of it is [tangential | repetitive |
irritating | insert your favourite dis word here].

But the other quarter is excellent!  He points me to great stuff I'd
otherwise remain unaware of.

James: keep up the good work!
