The ETB curriculum is for ESL learners, but I'm told that it may work well with adult basic education learners (ie., low literacy native English speakers). That part of the curriculum will be ready by the end of July, earlier probably. I'd be happy to send it along if you're willing to test it out for us - we're piloting materials in 2003. Spring 2004 is our target for a finished product. Sandy Diehl, MPH Project Director Expecting the Best >>> lisa.expect@verizon.net 02/20/03 02:22PM >>> Hi there - I'm looking for a document literacy curriculum that could be used in a waiting room, specifically prenatal clinics, this curriculum would give a health educator or a literacy tutor tools to help parents know what to expect when looking at medical forms, and gives them some simple strategies for filling out the forms. It would be great if they then had a "generic intake form" to take away with them to use when filling out the myriad of forms that comes with new parenthood. Does anyone have anything like it or know of someone who has developed something like it? I really don't want to have to write it myself! Thanks, Lisa Lisa Bernstein Executive Director The What To Expect Foundation 212-712-9764 lisab@whattoexpect.org
