Environmental careers at NRMRL span a wide-range of disciplines, including: water resources, urban / regional planning, environmental and ecological economics, environmental science, chemistry, biology, microbiology, hydrology, ecology, applied mathematics and statistics, systems analysis, computer science, and various engineering disciplines, including environmental, mechanical, civil, chemical, and management. Post-Doctoral Programs
Post-doctoral candidates must have earned a Ph.D. within
the past five years in one of the disciplines cited above. U.S.
citizenship is required. Selected candidates are eligible for
a full benefits package that includes health insurance, life insurance,
retirement, vacation, and sick leave.
Federal Programs: When funding and positions are available,
the Office of Research and Development hires post-doctoral candidates
for three-year appointments.

Federal Programs:
The EPA/Environmental Justice Internship Program provides
opportunities for students to gain practical experience working on
environmental issues and/or public health. These paid internships
provide an excellent career boost for students who want to get their
start in the environmental and/or public health profession. Students
get practical experience working in fields like science, engineering,
law, computer science, political analyst, communications, and more.
