Partner Profile Established in 1959, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is the oldest regional bank in the world and the main source of multilateral financing for economic, social and institutional development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its loans and grants help finance development projects and support strategies to reduce poverty, expand growth, increase trade and investment, promote regional integration, and foster private sector development and modernization of the State. The IDB purchases renewable energy certificates in an amount equivalent to 100% of electricity consumption at the Bank's four headquarters facilities: three in Washington, DC, and one in Ashburn, VA. |
