Agency Information Collection Activity Seeking OMB Approval

AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOT.

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: The FAA invites public comments about our intention to request 
the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) revision of a current 
information collection. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day 
comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of 
information was published on May 14, 2008, vol. 73, no. 94, pages 
27886-27887. The information is used to determine if applicants satisfy 
requirements for obtaining a launch license to protect the public from 
risks associated with reentry operations from a site not operated by or 
situated on a Federal launch range.

DATES: Please submit comments by September 18, 2008.

    Title: Commercial Space Transportation Reusable Launch Vehicle and 
Reentry Licensing Regulation.
    Type of Request: Revision of a currently approved collection.
    OMB Control Number: 2120-0643.
    Form(s): There are no FAA forms associated with this collection.
    Affected Public: An estimated 3 Respondents.
    Frequency: This information is collected on occasion.
    Estimated Average Burden Per Response: Approximately 3,000 hours 
per response.
    Estimated Annual Burden Hours: An estimated 9,000 hours annually.
    Abstract: The information is used to determine if applicants 
satisfy requirements for obtaining a launch license to protect the 
public from risks associated with reentry operations from a site not 
operated by or situated on a Federal launch range.

minimize the burden of the collection of information
