Bill-Signing Ceremony for the U.S. Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Act of 2003

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell will welcome President George W. Bush and Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy G. Thompson to the U.S. Department of State, Dean Acheson Auditorium, on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 2:15 p.m. for a bill-signing ceremony for the U.S. Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Act of 2003, which provides assistance to foreign countries to combat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.

***Pre-set time for cameras: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance
***Access for all press: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance
***All press must be in place by 1:30 p.m.

Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center); (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization; or (3) a letter on official letterhead from employing organization verifying employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (valid driver’s license or passport).
