Brookyln, New York- Congressman Edolphus Towns, 10th Congressional District New York, issued the following statement concerning the closing of the Brooklyn Pfizer facility:
"I am concerned, upset and disappointed at the Pfizer Corporation's decision to close its mother facility here in Brooklyn eliminating 600 jobs. It was the Brooklyn plant that gave birth to Pfizer. At best, some portions of the facility should remain open and allowed to stay within the Brooklyn Borough. I am hoping to meet with the Corporation's Chief Executive Officer to see whether some sort of compromised may be reached," said Congressman Towns.
