Projections

Short-term (2 year) forecasts and long-term (10 year) projections are produced for industries and occupations. Information about future employment trends include industries and occupations adding the most jobs, average annual growth rates, and average annual job openings. Short-term forecasts for the State of Hawaii, and long-term projections for the State and counties are provided.

Employment trends provide useful information for a variety of users, including students and jobseekers who are making career decisions, education and training program planners who develop specific occupational training programs, job placement specialists who help people find jobs, counselors who assist individuals in choosing careers, policy decision makers who help develop personnel policies, and employers who need information to help them plan the expansion or relocation of their businesses.
